Being an abstract painter is like being a poet. I use images in the way a poet plays with words. Rhythm, movement and the element of surprise are essential. Each piece has to sing. The thing I love about abstract work is the way it engages the viewer. Everyone sees something different in it, which is great because looking at art should be like being swept up in a fascinating conversation.
