I began taking photos as a source of inspiration for painting, exploring abstract imagery in nature. My lens was the frame, and I focused on pattern, shape, colour and composition. Looking at a garden or landscape through a camera changed the way I saw things, and photography became both an act of creation and meditation. Ultimately the photographs are pieces of art in themselves. Here’s a sample of my work. The photos were taken in Namibia, Spain, Petra, Paris, Israel and Vancouver.
